 Email external recipients using the same domain as the internal.
Solution Go into the advanced section of your SBS server manager console and dig down into your exchange organization / Administrative Groups / Servers / Your server name / Protocols / SMTP / Default SMTP Virtual Server / Properties / Messages tab / "Forward mail with unresolved recipients to smarthost", and fill in with the IP or name of the external POP mail server.
